Course Overview
The Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology(B.Sc. CSIT) is a 4 year semester course of Far Western University designed to provide the students with all sorts of knowledge in the field of computer science and information technology. The course has a total of 137 credit hours. The programme involves lectures, tutorials along with great deal of practical and project works. The design and implementation of B.Sc. CSTI course offers new challenges when compared to the traditional computing environment. The recent emergence of global business, new technologies for data processing and data communication/networking environment, equip specialized computer science graduates to focus on professional careers in information technology.

External Evaluation
End Semester Examination: It is a written examination at the end of the semester. The questions will be asked covering all the units of the course. The question model, full marks, time and others will be as per the following grid.
Eligibility
Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50 % or ‘C’ grade in all subjects are eligible to appear in the entrance examination for admission in the B.Sc CSIT program of Far Western University and the admission is done according to the merit list.

Should have successfully completed twelve years of schooling in the science stream or equivalent from any university, board, or institution.
Should have secured a minimum of the second division.
